Recommended arrival @ 9 a.m. \nMeet inside the LaSalle St. entrance at 9 a.m. Wear your AFSCME green! 👕 \nFor phone comment: \n\nCall (312) 744-6800 and leave a voice message with your name and telephone number. \nCall between 12:01 AM on Monday\, 12/15 8:00 AM on Monday\, 12/15. \nAny individual wishing to participate must be available at 10:00 AM on the day of the meeting and have access to a touch-tone telephone. \n\n***Restrictions: No backpacks or signs/posters allowed in City Council chambers. Be prepared to go through metal detector.*** \n\nThe City of Chicago 2026 budget has still not been passed. Library workers and supporters have been writing to elected officials\, calling and meeting with their alders\, and showing up to city hall to rally and give public comment in support of a fully funded library!! \nThis is the last push — a budget is due by December 31\, 2025. Council has set 7 meetings before the Christmas holiday. We want presence + comment at each one.
